The rock community is mourning one of their own.
Crazy Town frontman Seth Binzer, who went by Shifty Shellshock, died June 24, his management confirmed. He was 49.
"Seth Binzer was a courageous fighter," his reps told E! News in a statement. "So full of talent, light, compassion, love and grace. He will be missed by so many. He was one of those souls that was magnetic."
"We will miss you Seth," the statement continued. "We are heart broken. Thank you for your talents and contributions to our music industry. We were all blessed to have had you."
Binzer, who died in his Los Angeles residence, according to the L.A. Medical Examiner's office, leaves behind sons Halo, whom he shared with ex Melissa Clark; Gage, whom he shared with ex Tracy Shelor; and Phoenix, with ex Jasmine Lennard.
Binzer's music career began in 1992 when he met his Crazy Town cofounder Bret "Epic" Mazur. The duo formed the band the Brimstone Sluggers that year, but by 1999, they had changed their name to Crazy Town.
Their debut album The Gift of Game was released in November 1999, and the rap-rock band went on to open for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Following the success of their single "Butterfly" in 2001, Crazy Town put out another album before going on hiatus in 2003. The group reformed in 2007 and dropped their final album The Brimstone Sluggers in 2014.
Fans of the musician shared their condolences in the most recent post on Binzer's Instagram. One user commented, "You were loved by many & my how much you're gonna be missed!" And another added, "Rest in Peace, my Childhood Hero. Gonna miss you"
Meanwhile, friends also reflected on their relationship with the singer.
"RIP old friend," photographer Mike Azria wrote. "Remember you best as a kid in a skateboard with the entire world in front of you… sending love to your family."
Added event planner Haley Benoit on her Instagram Stories June 25, "My heart is completely broken with the passing of my dear friend. I hope that wherever you are that you are finally at peace. Sweet dream my angel. I love you."
